I'm Late - Music for Little People

Hey everyone! Jamie from Fong Songs, which has recently gone on hiatus. Why? Because I'm back in school doing my Master's, which means I have no time for blogging. In fact, I should be reading right now or writing something or sleeping... AAAAAARGH, it's only been one week and and I'm three weeks behind! No time to say hello, good-bye, I'm late, I'm late, I'm late!

MUSIC FOR LITTLE PEOPLE is a company out of Northern California that releases music-related educational products for children as well as recordings on their own music label. This particular album called LET'S GO TO THE MOVIES actually consists completely of covers from Disney films as sung by children. It reminds me of the Kidz Bop series, except the original songs are directed at children anyway so kid-friendly covers seem redundant. Pretty much all of them have me reaching for the skip button, but here they take the original short song (roughly 45 seconds) and somehow extend it for over four minutes as a Latin-flavoured big band cover. At the very least, it's listenable. Gotta go, I'm late!
