BOB B. SOXX & THE BLUE JEANS is a 60s pop group produced by the great record producer Phil Spector. The group consisted of Bobby Sheen, who took on the stage name Bob B. Soxx, with Darlene Love and Fanita James on backing vocals.
The group recorded only one album, ZIP-A-DEE-DOO-DAH
The titular track was the album's lead-off single and made it to #8 on the US pop charts. If I'm not mistaken, and you can correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe that this is the first cover that took Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Dah has gave it a slow rock groove. You can hear this version covered by The Rationals, Jackson 5, Dave Clark Five, and many more.
