Trust in Me - Roudoudou feat. Jenny De Vivo

Trust in Me has this certain calming, intoxicating groove to it, which I guess is the point of the song since Kaa is using it to hypnotize Mowgli.

However, musicians of the electronic variety have noticed this song because of its groove, adding their own haunting sounds and rhythm. Listen to this version by French artist Stephen Lawrence, aka ROUDOUDOU. He has taken the song to the next level of hypnotism in a genre of electronic music called trip-hop. I sit here at my desk writing this commentary but I can't listen to the song at the same time else I wouldn't get any work done! It is quite enchanting.

Stephen Lawrence started out with a radio program playing an eclectic variety of music and sounds. He later moved on to be the lead singer of the band OUI OUI, but it wasn't until mid-90s that he found his true passion as a deejay. He released his first album, TOUTL'UNIVERS: LISTENER'S DIGEST, on which this track can be found, in 1998.

The vocalist is Jenny Devivo, an independent musician from Massachusetts.
