I love rooting through the vinyl sections of thrift stores because there are usually a few Disney records mixed in the lot, and they are usually not more than 25 or 50 cents! I found this record a while back: IT'S A SMALL WORLD - 18 FAVORITE FOLK SONGS
The Disneyland Boys Choir is a group made up of members of the St. Charles Borromeo church choir in Los Angeles. The group was formed to provide the music for the Small World attraction for the New York World's Fair in 1964. This album was released in 1965, and the Small World attraction moved to Disneyland in 1966.
This was the only album recorded by the Disneyland Boys Choir, although they recorded a version of Silent Night for another record. Salamunovich, who conducted the choir, was the choir director for St. Charles, a position he held until June, 2009.
Although performed by the original artist, this version of It's a Small World is a different arrangement by pop pianist, Willard "Pop" Jones, therefore making it a cover.
