in 2006, Walt Disney Records thought that the world needed another Devo. So they came up with the idea of five young teens who sing Devo songs (with altered lyrics to make them more family friendly) and wear those silly pylons on their heads. The actual Devo provided the music tracks while Devo 2.0 dubbed their own vocals.
Anyway, the album was a flop and the band broke up, but not before they could record a Disney cover for DISNEYMANIA 4
The song is the theme to the 1965 Monkey's Uncle, written by the Sherman Brothers and originally performed by Annette Funicello and the Beach Boys. Monkey's Uncle was Annette's last film with Disney and it was also the last Disney film for Tommy Kirk (both pictured above).
