If you lived through the 90s you will surely remember the name JONATHAN TAYLOR THOMAS. "JTT" fever hit the female pre-teen crowd hard and he pretty soon became a household name, largely thanks to his role as Randy Taylor on the hit Disney show Home Improvement. I was reminded of him when I read that his birthday is today. He is now 28 years old.
But what is he up to these days? In the last few years he has had guest roles in TV shows like Smallville, 8 Simple Rules and Veronica Mars and a few TV movies, but most of his time is spent at school. He has attended Harvard University, the University of St. Andrews in Scotland, and most recently Columbia University.
If you are a fan of Disney animation, you will also know that JTT was the voice of young Simba in The Lion King. The cover I have chosen today is Simba's feature song I Just Can't Wait To Be King recorded by AARON CARTER, another child artist from the 90s who is not around much anymore, for the first volume of DISNEYMANIA
Oh, and because I know one of you will point this out, JTT was not the singing voice of Simba. That job went to JASON WEAVER.
