In 2000, Aida, the Broadway musical featuring music by The Lion King composers Elton John and Tim Rice, made its debut and was an award winning hit. Based on the opera of the same name by Giuseppe Verdi, Aida was originally meant to be an animated feature, but Disney decided to stick with the stage. However, the musical is being developed into a live-action feature that should hit theatres in 2010.
A year before the Broadway production premiered, Elton John recorded all of the songs from Aida with famous pop stars. The album was released and is considered to be a 'concept album'. Even though this album was released before the official Broadway cast recording, I consider this to be a cover album so I will be posting tracks, starting with this one by the SPICE GIRLS

You may want to try saying "based on the opera of the same name..."
Its not exactly ambiguous which opera they based it on now, is it.
Thanks for the comment, I've made the appropriate change.
can you post more of these covers?
